Mike's 63 Austin 850 Deluxe
It is running and driving, I have replaced the rear wheel cylinders and shoes, and the front brakes have been changed over to twin-leading shoes which are supposed to better than the original.
Motor and transmission work well, doesn’t pop out of gear or whine or anything funny like that. I replaced the fuel pump, but the car still hesitates hear and there while driving. I’m going to try to adjust the carb and see if that helps.
I had the original wheels powder-coated with idea of going back to the original look. They are included. The wheels on it now are original Dunlops with brand new Kumho’s.
The white paint is the original paint, so it’s not perfect, touch-up here and there. It could use a nice paint job, but you can also drive it around as is and have a good time. I painted the roof black to give it that Cooper look, I think it really makes the car "pop".
It has an 850 engine, and the magic wand shifter, and the floor button starter switch, but not the original 850 I’m told.
